location perfect in the centre of Madrid, excellent for sight seeing, theatre and cinema enthusiasts. Check in was a little slow as was check out. On leaving the elevator on my allocated floor I was shocked by the state of the carpet in the common areas, threadbare somewhat dirty. I was however relieved when entering my room and seeing the much improved carpet. Rooms were nicely decorated however in most other hotels of 3 star the individual rooms tend to have larger beds rather a simple single bed. I did not take advantage of the breakfast offered and the room servise consisted of a menu for the local Telepizza. There vending machines available for coffee, soft drinks, crisps and sweets in the first floor lounge.
In conclusion for the price I payed through Hotels.com I was happily satisfied however, their advertised, walk in price, is somewhat expensive for the standard.
