The reception staff were pleasant and helpful, although, I queried the booking as I had booked a normal room with breakfast, when they checked, they advised it was a suite without breakfast despite having already given me the key for a normal room. The room was very dated and the heating didn't work properly, it was cold and when you switched on the heating, it only blew cold air... the porter showed me how to reset it but I ended up having to reset it several times in 3 days. I arrived late and was relieved to see the room service menu and that they served til 1 am. I rang at 10.45 pm and it just rang, I rang again a few minutes later still no answer... luckily there is a McDonald's next door. I went to the cafeteria for a quick coffee and ten minutes later still waiting, despite there only being 3 tables (only 1 of which were waiting for their order) and 3 members of staff. I later found a chain cafe around the corner and local restaurant behind the hotel. I ordered breakfast for 7 am one day as I had an early meeting, it arrived at 7.40... leaving me very little time to actually eat it and it wasn't what i asked for. The breakfast cost €13.50, you can get the same in the neighbouring establishments for less than €3! I was left one tatty looking bath towel, I have no problem reusing a towel but there is no heated towel rail to ensure that the towel is dry in time for the next use. All in all, a very poor show.
Room Tip: Great location but try one of the other nearby hotels .
