Hotel is located in a quiet square 1.5m from the city centre. This is an easy walk or alternatively there is a metro station 300 metres away. Hotel is well decorated and staff were friendly and helpful. Airport to hotel by metro (one change) is 40 mins and costs E2.50 per person. Beds were king size (at least) and extremely comfortable. A front facing room overlooking the square would have a better view than the back

Having just spent 4 days at this Hotel my wife and I were very impressed with both the standard of accomodation and the cleanliness. The staff could not be more helpful, the location although not central was very close to the Metro and easy to access.
Having viewed this Hotel on the internet and stayed in many city Hotels we were very pleasantly suprised with the overall standard along with value for money.

This is a long story that started in 2009. Got up at 3am to catch 6am flight to Madrid, hadn't heard about bloody volcano. 5 hours later back at home. Contacted the Conde Duque and they waived and refunded all charges, even for 1st night. Move on 12 months - had to book the Conde Duque as sort of thank you. Arrived at hotel to find one of our party had been pick-pocketed and passport gone. Staff in hotel couldn't be more helpful in ringing police, consulate, etc. After that we had the most wonderful 5 days in Madrid and the hotel was just perfect - great setting (no passing traffic), not too small, not too big, good food (although the attached restuarant was closed for refurb but plenty of other choices), fantastic bar but, above all, intelligent, helpful staff always ready to please but not in your face. Highly recommend.
