“Very Nice Place”

Just two short blocks from Plaza de Espana and Julia Travel, this place was an ideal location to explore Madrid, but not be in the crazy center of town. The hop on off bus stopped 1/2 block from our front door. Room was large, very well appointed and had a nice european flair. Marble bath was clean and well appointed, but the best part - THE BED - was amazing! Soft, comfy with snowy duvet, made a great respite from our busy site-seeing. Buffet breakfast was ok- but there is a wonderful resto Cascaras Cafe, just down the street that had excellent food all day long. Desk manager and all the staff very cordial and helpful, with excellent English. I would stay here again.

Room Tip: We got room - end of hallway (quiet) with big king sized bed

“Just OK”

A fairly old property well located nearby a subway station in Madrid. One could expect better from a Mercure. The bathroom plug for the shaver in the bathroom did not work. I informed the housekeeping staff. Yet, the following day, nothing changed. But the rooms are quiet and clean. Breakfast was good but expensive for what it is.

“old but not bad”

old style hotel, the furnitures and equipments are a bit dated except the flat screen TV . Otherwise spacious room, very clean with a real good bed, and good insulation from the hotel corridor, probably due to the quite long hallway in the room, wich, in my opinion, is a benefit for quietness. Staff efficient and ready to help. I didn't have breakfast so no comment on that point. Location is great, close to metro and gran via ( restaurants, shops......). Overall a good stay in this hotel, will probably go back.
