I stayed at this hotel on a Saturday night. When we booked this hotel (months beforehand) I asked for a double bed room in the new part of the hotel, on arrival we were advised there were none available but there were two single beds pushed together. Got into the room and 2 single beds with a bedside table keeping them apart. This didn't bother us too much and we decided to leave it. The shower wasn't draining and leaked all over the bathroom floor, upon phoning reception I was advised they weren't going to bother changing our room as we were only there for 1 night and we would get more towels!!! Was not impressed and walking around the bathroom on soaking wet towels is not a experience I enjoyed!
On the plus side location of the hotel is great with the Metro right outside.

“Mercure Madrid Santo Domingo”
Very Nice Hotel, Freinly staff but not very sound proof room near lifts and kept waking me every time they were used so wasn't refreshed next morning. The breakfast buffet was very good and plenty of choice.

“Great hotel. location and value”
A very enjoyable stay for a number of days in this hotel. Breakfast is no less than sumptuous. It is not an expensive hotel and very good value for money. We should come here more often. The location is very central and the metro is right outside the door. The rooms and facilities are more than comfortable and again, excellent value for the price. Don't forget to go to Las Carboneras for the excellent Flamenco - near the Opera Metro. Mercure always seems to be a safe bet.

“Location”
We stayed here twice during our Spain trip. Rooms was a bit dated and tired. But location was good , easily accesible either by train or bus/taxi. Many eating places sorrounding the area.
