I had to be in Madrid on business, and this hotel was within a few hunderd meters of the two locations I need to be at. Having stayed in Barcelo hotels in the UK I expected the standard to be good even in a business type hotel. I wasn't disapointed. The hotel is modern, purpose built and quite stylish. Room had every I needed, buffet breakfast was good and the evening meal choice was excellent and well presented. Helpful staff and a enjoyable stay.

Very easy access to the airport and the Metro is a few hunderd meters down the street, you can be in the city centre in a no time at all. I will use it again for sure, and would even consider it for a weekend break, it won't break the budget.

Stayed for 2 nights on business. The hotel was pleasant with helpful staff and a nice breakfast but there are no shops, restaurants or night life nearby.
To get into central Madrid takes 25 minutes and a taxi (20 Euros) and up to an hour on a bus (2 Euros).

The hotel is very good, it is an excellent value and the staff was very helpful, nice and friendly. It is actually difficult to find anything negative to say about this hotel, except for its location, which really is not so great. It is not very bad either, but one should know what to expect.

The hotel is in the northern part of the city, but given that Madrid has a very modern and efficient Metro system, that is no problem at all, at least not for leisure travelers that are not too pressed for time. Also, two Metro stations are in reasonable walking distance to the hotel, but if you travel with elderly people or small children, it might turn out to be a bit far. Also, the hotel is not really close to the Chamartin train station (which is what we expected), because there is a big freeway crossing and major train tracks in between. It is, however, not too far to the Airport or the Autonoma University.

So, if you know about the location and consider it for your travels, then you´ll be very satisfied with the hotel. I was and I would go back for my next travel to Madrid.
