This is a lovely, smart, modern hotel in the old town, big room, comfortable bed, spotless bathroom, big work desk (with free hi-speed wifi), minibar with water, soft drinks and beer: very nice indeed. Best of all is the location. The view from my room (603 - right next to the lift!) was a pretty paved square below with trees and statues of pilgrims (it's on the Camino de Santiago) in front of a very grand building, with cloud-capp'd mountains in the distance. The hotel only does room and breakfast, but just around the corner there are streets and streets of tapas bars, cafés and restaurants, including the famous calle Laurel, and the local pizza joint will deliver to your room if you don't feel like going out. At €80 a night it's not particularly cheap compared with other hotels I've stayed in in Logroño, but the location makes it worthwhile. Although it's only three star (because it doesn't have a restaurant or bar) I'd say that the rooms are pretty much to four-star standard. I would definitely stay here again. Only two beefs: shower over the bath doesn't have a grab-handle for when the bath becomes slippery wth soap, and the breakfast is very unambitious. I solved the latter problem by going round the corner to the Noche y Día cafetería, where a cafe con leche and a large brandy gross up to €3.80. Barmaid is very attractive, too, like a younger version of Amanda Redman (that's quite enough of that. Ed).
Room Tip: I always ask for a room near to the lift. They obliged
