I really don't get the people who say that this was far from everything. We walked into town every night after a day of touring the wine country. If you turn right halfway to the town centre, you can walk along the park and river, which is stunning. The hotel itself was clean and the service was what one would expect. We had zero problems, so we didn't really have to ask anyone anything. Free wireless internet in the lobby and snacks every afternoon. When I read that they had free minibar refreshments, I thought it was pretty goofy, but it really was a nice touch. We always had a free parking spot on the street which we wouldn't have had in a more busy location. We got an excellent internet rate and our stay was enjoyable.

We stayed 3 nights at this hotel. We were allocated a non-smoking room but when we got there the room smelled really badly of stale smoke. We called reception and they moved us immediately to another room and we had absolutely no problems with the new room.

The beds are so comfortable, great pillows, fantatsic shower & clean. I really couldnt fault the hotel on their rooms & the mini bar was free and replenished daily (no alcohol). In the afternoon you had tea and coffee making facilities, free juices, soft drinks and danish pastries available at the bar. They play chill out music in reception so the atmosphere was relaxed and the surroudings were modern.

Breakfast Id recommend going for the 4 euros pastries/toast/bread & hot drinks option as I felt that the full buffet option at 12 euros was very expensive for what you got. There is also a bar opposite the hotel on the roundabout that serves breakfasts much cheaper & its good.

The only thing that lets this hotel down is the location. Its a good 15-20 mins walk into town but if you catch a taxi its 5 euros. English isnt widely spoken in Logrono so Id highly recommend a dictionary or guidebook & also full addresses of where you are going if you are going to catch a taxi anywhere.

The AC hotels can generally be relied upon to provide good 4 star accommodation without all the thrills. The AC Logrono is stuck on the edge of town overlooking some rather shabby apartment buildings. The facade of the hotel is rather tired looking and the public spaces aren't as nice and welcoming as in other AC hotels. A a major problem with this chain is that the rooms have individual air conditioning but it is rarely switched on. As a result, the rooms are always stuffy meaning you have to suffer street noise etc if you want to get air in the room from the windows. I have complained about this before at the AC Oviedo but the management seems to not care about guest feedback.

If you are in Logrono on business then this is probably the hotel for you but we have stayed in better 4 star accommodation.

what a dreadful place. the rooms are adequate, but if you stay at the front of the hotel the become like an oven. Their website states that they have air condonditioning all year round but when i stayed there mis october, even though it was 27 degrees in the room, they had switched it off. it was ridiculous. room service is terrible, reception is understaffed, housekeeping doesn't get round to the rooms at all or sometimes not before 5 pm...
