This hotel is a lovely venue right in the center of the city of Haro. It oozes character and charm and serves a fine breakfast in the large patio. The patio is a very nice place to sit for an evening drink. In October the weather can still be warm and apparently the air conditioning is not still on. I had a room facing the street and was able to open the window (inviting a mosquito in to share one of my evenings) but one gentleman in our wine-tasting group (We spent five days visiting bodegas/wineries in Ribera del Duero and La Rioja.) complained that his room overlooked the patio and when he opened the window, all the noise from meetings and entertainment there drifted up and into his room so that he found it difficult to sleep. This may be worst on weekends so a guest might prefer a room facing the street unless it's the time of year when the AC or heat are on and windows can be kept closed. My very comfortable room with a double bed was fine for one person but if there are two of you and you like to read in bed, you may want to request a room with a bedside lamp on each side of the bed, which mine did not have. The amenities did not include hand lotion, Kleenex, shower cap or a heated towel rack but there was a shoe shine sponge. Since I was with a group, it's quite possible though that my room was not one of the upper scale ones which might have more "goodies." I have been at this hotel three times now over the last several years and find it very satisfactory. There is a computer for guests to use for free; the central location is excellent; the service is very good and the breakfast appealing and ample.
