The hotel infrastructure is excellent, the entrance is a little dry; however, the lobby is nice and spacious. What is lacking is the human touch. I have stayed here the last three years, and enjoyed the rooms both standard and suites. However, I don't recall one name nor face in all of my stays. This is some what unusual as this is the end of mi Camino de Santiago. Great contrast to the Camino, yet I think there are many better options, EXCEPT, if you are traveling with 3 or more couples.

Very beautiful hotel, I found its rooms very cozy, excellent staff, excellent breakfast, I didn't want to leave!

Spent three nights in this hotel.Tranquil setting in University campus. Old town walkable in 10-15 minutes uphill from the hotel.
Laminate floors in the rooms, poor sound separation between rooms - clacking high heels,large sliding wardrobe door and animated conversations easily transmitted through the walls.
Impossible to get to sleep until your neighbours had settled.
Extensive breakfast choice but staff seemed to be rushing around not working as a team. People seemed to be frequently asking staff to get more water etc for the coffee machine.Our last morning was an early start and we arrived for breakfast to find several coachloads of people waiting for the dining room to open. Absolute chaos ensued.
This Hotel is a triumph of style over practicality. For us it was definitely not a 5 star experience

We had a one-night stay at the hotel during a weekend getaway in Santiago de Compostela, and it fulfilled all our expectations. Near enough the Obradoiro Square (a quiet and nice 10 minute walk), the NH is a modern hotel with everything you need for a pleasant stay. Breakfast was extremely good, and our kids had a great time at the indoor swimming-pool.

We'd come back in a heartbeat!
