4 stars hotel, well accessed from the highway but remote from the old city and the touristic attractions. Fortunately the e fron desk gave us directions to the parking place (paying parking) next to the Cathedral and the Cite.
We spent there two night and were very pleased. However, while booking the room through VENERE.com, we read that the deal includes breakfast. Only after the booking was confirmed, we discovered breakfast is not included. This kind of in transparency occured nearly everytime we booked a hotel through the internet. Unpleasant information is provided only after we provide CreditCard number and confirm our booking.
This is a very pleasant hotel with a full breakfast buffet daily. It is conviently located and free parking is a definite plus if you have a car. The staff is conversant in English if needed and friendly. Beds are comfortable and accomodations were clean and functional. Very spacious by European standards! Would definitely recommend it to fellow travelers, couples, and families!
Recently invited by Spaniards, to this city and to my surprise, although I could not find much online other than cultural city, the night life is very much alive, great food, and inexpensive dinner for two with 3 appetizers, two beers, one bottle water, 2 entree, 60$ US, Ok, not your cheapest meal but when you pay in Euros and convert it, it did come out cheaper than expected.
The hotel was excellent less than 5 min. taxi (cost $6 dollars) to the cathedral of St. James, and same to the store El Corte Ingles.
Food in the region is exquisite, same goes for the wine, at another restaurant we were served a bottle per person without asking, (lol) but all in all great experience.
We stayed for four nights on a great deal (we paid £285). Rooms very very spacious with two double beds, a changing area, good bathroom and most importantly a safe. Staff were friendly even though not much English is spoken. The hotel is quiet, seems to be used by mostly business guests but this didn't bother us. The location is quite far out but you could walk it in 30 minutes at a leisurely stroll, or you could get a bus from the bottom of the road and there were always taxis outside at a cost of 6 or 7 euros. There were a few good bars and restaurants at the bottom of the road at the bus stop and they are well worth a go if you can't be bothered to go in to the centre. Good breakfast in the mornings, all self serve but avoid the awful coffee!
