We stayed at the Santiago Apostol for 9 days and it was a good choice. This Hotel is fairly modern and kept very clean. The rooms had everything you would expect and are comfortable. There was no air conditioning, which was not a problem in April even though it reached 28 degrees on a couple of days. The hotel is next to a main road but, thanks to the double glazing you would not realise it.
There was pleanty of choice for breakfast: bacon and eggs, cold meats, cheese, etc. etc. and the food was of good quality. We only used the resaurant once for dinner but that too was of good quality and reasonably priced. The staff were all friendly despite the long hours that some of them seemed to work. The only fly in the ointment is its location (there are two buses an hour into Santiago the last one back is about 1030pm.)
