“Not a four star hotel!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 July 2011

The outdoor pool is probably what earned the fourth star. The restaurant & breakfast were lovely and the hotel is about a 15 minute stroll from the old part of town, but the rooms and bathrooms were small and NOT well-appointed. Some people on our tour said their rooms were dirty. Many people also had trouble adjusting the shower - it was either too hot or too cold. Also, the porter was hired "as needed" and we had to haul our own luggage. NOT worth 4 stars!

“Great Hotel Short stroll from the city centre”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 June 2011

We only stayed for one night with no breakfast for €65. (great bakery & fruit shop around the corner) This hotel is very central just a short stroll from the centre of everything. We walked safely back at midnight. Standard Spacious Room, very comfortable bed with a large bathroom. Great value for money so I highly recommend this hotel for someone that likes their comforts buts wants to be where everything is happening.

“Very comfortable stay in a well-appointed hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 July 2010

I stayed here for 4 nights at the beginning of July 2010. I must say I am surprised at this hotel's fairly lowly rating in the Santiago de Compostela hotel rankings. The rooms were of a decent size, very clean, well appointed, and with a good, *quiet* air-conditioning system! Breakfast was good, and the staff at the both the reception and the bar were very friendly and efficient - and tolerant of my (poor) attempts to speak Spanish! (All the more so since the local language is Galician.)

The pool would have been a boon had I been on holiday rather than on business. Even the minibar was reasonably priced. The wireless internet was a little slow, but then it was included in the room price and adequate for email/browsing purposes. There is even a PC and printer in the lobby for you to print boarding passes etc - very helpful.

All in all I wouldn't hesitate to come back to this hotel.

“LOVED this hotel!"”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 June 2009

We were on a 14-day tour through northern Spain and had some up-and-down experiences at the various hotels - but we absolutely LOVED this hotel!! The buffet breakfast was fabulous, the gardens were beautiful and the rooms were clean and lovely. Our favorite hotel of all, in fact! Highly recommended.

“Good Rooms”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 September 2008

The hotel is 15 min walk from Rua Franco, which is the main bar/tapas street and another 5min to the cathedral.Very well equipped hotel ,although the exterior looks a little tired. We paid 73 euros for a double with another 8 each for breakfast, which was very good with lots of choice.Rooms are nicely appointed and reception very helpful.Small car park at the front and the hotel was easy to find.
