We stayed there at end of our Pilgrimage and could not imagine a better place to recover. The food in the restaraunt was excellent, as was the bar food. We showed up after lunch/ before dinner on the first day and the bartender kept us alive with Jamon Iberico he sliced off a hindquarter placed on a rack on the bar, as well as some wonderful fresh bread and cheese. Washed down with excellent Galician beer. One of the best meals we had during our week in Galicia. The staff was more than kind and very efficient, and they took pity on two weary travellers, going out of their way to look after us.

Stayed at the Bonaval Hotel for 4 nights and was very pleased by the quality of their facilities (rooms, restaurant, lobby, free internet) and the excellent service provided by the staff. I arrived a day early from my pilgrimage and the hotel was booked, the receptionist even found me at a room at a nearby hostal where I spent the night. The hotel is only a few minutes walk from the cathedral and plenty of bars and restaurants nearby.

Excellent location within walking distance from the Cathedral, spacious modern and very clean rooms, all staff (and the owner in particular) very friendly and helpful, excellent restaurant. Highly recommended. Perfect for a great week-end in Santiago.
Will definitely go back.
