I stayed at the NH Atlantico for 2 nights in September whilst visiting La Coruna and the surrounding areas. The hotel was right in the centre of town, very close to shops and restaurants and also adjacent to the cruise port. Most of the main areas of interest such as Sir John Moore's tomb and Maria Pita square are within walking distance but the main beach is a little further away so you would perhaps need to catch the local tram or a taxi. We had local tour guide from the Spanish tourist board taking us on a walking tour and a coach tour of the town and peninsula who was very informative and I would definately recommend doing a guided tour if you can. My room was very big and overlooked one of the main squares which I was dubious about at first because of noise issues but I had no problems at all. The bathroom was also huge and had all the neccessary toiletries needed. My only gripe is that the staff on reception were a little frosty, even when attempting to speak a little basic Spanish to them they answered in English and didn't seem to know how to smile! All in all I found the hotel good value for money, in a great spot and I would definately stay again.
