“Good Hotel.... in its own way !”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

I read a couple of reviews on this hotels earlier... and I must agree; it really is a no frills hotel... The building is very basic... But it serves the purpose... I was there for a short business trip and it was good enough...
Room Quality: Clean, Well Appointed and adequately spacious...
Staff: No complains - good...
Breakfast: Good
Location: Good... I could walk down right to the city center... There are several shops and restaurants there on....

“Perfectly good business hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 January 2012

This is a perfectly good business hotel, typical of a Spanish chain hotel, in a soulless concrete building. Plus points are the breakfast, which is good, and the bathroom which was excellent with a powerful shower. Bed was a bit hard for my liking. Room perfectly modern, clean, if a little dated. Staff weren't the friendliest by any means.

“solid place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 July 2011

well laid out. The bedding is good but too much stuff on tables (coffee maker, CD player) no place for your stuff. Has a safe that is good. The internet is extra... arrrgguuuhhh, so go across the street to the indoor mall where it is free. The breakfast and lunch buffets are excellent. Centrally located. Would stay there again, just resent the extra charge for internet. Bring a sweater... even in the summer!!!

“Great central hotel, good value but staff could crack a smile now and then though!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 September 2010

I stayed at the NH Atlantico for 2 nights in September whilst visiting La Coruna and the surrounding areas. The hotel was right in the centre of town, very close to shops and restaurants and also adjacent to the cruise port. Most of the main areas of interest such as Sir John Moore's tomb and Maria Pita square are within walking distance but the main beach is a little further away so you would perhaps need to catch the local tram or a taxi. We had local tour guide from the Spanish tourist board taking us on a walking tour and a coach tour of the town and peninsula who was very informative and I would definately recommend doing a guided tour if you can. My room was very big and overlooked one of the main squares which I was dubious about at first because of noise issues but I had no problems at all. The bathroom was also huge and had all the neccessary toiletries needed. My only gripe is that the staff on reception were a little frosty, even when attempting to speak a little basic Spanish to them they answered in English and didn't seem to know how to smile! All in all I found the hotel good value for money, in a great spot and I would definately stay again.

“Good basic hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 February 2009

I stayed in the Atlantico for 3 nights in June, I will list the pros and cons below:

Pros: Good vaule for money, helpful staff, clean rooms especailly the bathroom, good central location.

Cons: Quite basic rooms in terms of quality.

The Atlantico is a good hotel if you are looking for good value for money and a no frills hotel room. I would rate the room as average, with the bathroom being above average, but aside from that there is nothing special about this hotel.
