This was our 4th stay at Hotel Lauria out of 5 trips to Tarragona mainly for the wonderful Festa Santa Tecla in September. The location especially, but also the hotel size, value and satisfactory standard of rooms, service and breakfast make it our regular choice.

We had an un-refurbished room on the second floor facing onto the pool area, with a partial sea-view. Not bad, but definitely in need of up-grading. The refurbished rooms look good and we would probably opt for one of them next time if there is still the same degree of comfort differential.

Tarragona is a fantastic city to visit anytime of the year. It has everything most people could ever wish for but without the tourist tack. Then there is Festa Santa Tecla!!!. We have stayed here a few times on our driving trips to and from Spain. The upgraded rooms are worth the extra and the ones with a view over the port are the best. Reception are very friendly. The car park is tight but that is the case in most places in Spain. Everything you want is right on the doorstep - bars, restaurants, shops, culture and sea. A stone's throw from the hotel is the restaurant pastificcio - worth a visit and not far to stagger back!

This hotel was a great surprise for the price! Very clean, a bit outdated but perfect location in the center of tarragona. 5mn from the seafront, a bit more to go down to the beach as it is near the old town. Less than 10mn from the old town and little places. Very friendly staff. Highly recommended...

Great location in the centre of Tarragona. Room - on second floor facing a side street -was clean enough but old, tired and like something out of the 1950s. Receptionist claimed the free wifi was available in the rooms - not true only works on the ground floor. Impossible to sleep with noise from a bar next door to hotel - so moved at 2AM to an equally dated but quiet room on ground floor next to the pool. Price [around 55 euros] was ok for the location but were I to stay again would want one of the renovated rooms. some of the parking spaces along the Rambla in front of the hotel are free but the hotel [pay] car park is a 10 minute walk away
