Stayed here for two, separate nights, either side of a walking trip to the Els Ports mountains. The hotel is right in the centre of Tarragona; so a good location yet I was not disturbed by any noise. My room was small and showed some minor signs of wear and tear on the decor, but it was clean and I thought it was fine for my purpose. I paid 48.75 euros each night, without breakfast, which cost 4.32 euros for the minimalist "express" version. The open-access PC in the reception area was very useful as I did not have my laptop with me. Tarragona was an interesting and pleasant city, but won't replace Cordoba and Granada in my affections.

I stayed herewith my husband and 2 kids. The location is very good, It is basic, which is fine. You're not going to stay in a hotel for your whole holiday though are you? It is very affordable. The restaurant is very good. We enjoyed it very much. It is better than all the other 3* hotels in the area. This hotel will not disappoint you at all! The lobby had a computer which was really helpful. We will definitely be back!!!

Hotel Urbis is well-located, close to both the Rambla Nova and the Roman Forum, and within easy walking distance of all Tarragona's sights, shops and monuments. It is adjacent to the covered market. The Rooms have free WiFi, good hot water showers, big flat screen TV. The rooms are spacious and well-equipped, the beds comfortable and the breakfasts generous. The hotel's restaurant is excellent, and offered us a good vegetarian Pealla (famous dish of Tarragona) for dinner. The hotel staffs are very sympathetic and helpful in providing advice. We would definitely recommend the Hotel Urbis to other visitors looking for a basic no frills hotel, close to the Roman ruins and other tourist attractions.

Pros: location, decent and FREE wifi, good hot water showers, room size decent, big flatscreen TV, two blocks away from parking garages that the hotel has deals with

Cons: Standard ugly hotel decor, narrow corridors, you can hear your neighbors flush the toilet and worse, watch TV because their flatscreen is mounted on the wall behind your head.

We opted out of breakfast because we figured we could find any amount of better deals in Tarragona. There is an awesome Tapas place just in front of the hotel, and a great morning market with a mindboggling array of fresh fruits, vegetables, seafood, meat and other eatables.

I would recommend this to people looking for a basic, cheap option.
