This hotel is for people looking for a basic no frills hotel, close to the Roman ruins and other tourist attractions.

Pros: location, decent and FREE wifi, good hot water showers, room size decent, big flatscreen TV, two blocks away from parking garages that the hotel has deals with

Cons: Standard ugly hotel decor, narrow corridors, you can hear your neighbors flush the toilet and worse, watch TV because their flatscreen is mounted on the wall behind your head.

We opted out of breakfast because we figured we could find any amount of better deals in Tarragona. There is an awesome Tapas place just in front of the hotel, and a great morning market with a mindboggling array of fresh fruits, vegetables, seafood, meat and other eatables.

I would recommend this to people looking for a basic, cheap option.

I agree with the previous review. A good 3 star hotel for the money. It was comfortable, good amenities, good restaurant and very helpful staff.
The best part was the location. We could walk everywhere. Parking lot was very convienent.

Hotel Urbis is very close to most Tarragona attractions. It has a good deal with a parking located one block away (15 euros per day). Even though the parking spaces are a bit small, it is a fair option as you will not need the car in town. Front desk staff is very helpful and warm. Rooms are quite big, with furniture that looks a little bit updated but OK. Bathroom is also big, it has not many amenities but is far better than other 3* hotels in Spain.
The hotel's restaurant is very good, we enjoyed a very nice supper and a fantastic breakfast. Hotel Urbis is an affordable lodging that will not disappoint...

Incredibly tiny, unclean rooms. Rude staff. Excellent breakfast though...
