Booked this hotel as it was on the beach front and was very happy with it. Lady in reception was a pleasure do deal with and not intrusive at all. Very comfortable, bright airy reception area and very modern lift to our floor. We booked two rooms with sea front views as they also have rooms at the back. The rooms were lovely with amazing sea views. We were in rooms 402 and 403, fourth floor as the numbers suggest! The beds were some of the best I have ever stayed in, huge and very, very comfortable.
Some of the bathrooms were a little on the smaller side but fine for me. The modern shower unit was a nice surprise but the water was a little low in pressure. All needs were catered for in the room, flatscreen tv on the wall (the the flatscreen was on the table in my mums room which was nice too), tea/coffee facilities, fridge with 2 bottles of water at only 30cent each, huge mirror, chair for the table and large wardrobe. Room was very bright and a splash of colour on the wall behind the bed. Balcony was a very nice size with plenty of room for 2-4 people to sit on and relax.
Hotel bar was on the 5th floor, with an inside bar area with large brown leather couches, and outside large L shaped rooftop terrace which again, has gorgeous views of the streets and the beach! This bar area inside and out is a must see and to be enjoyed.
The cleaners are very nice, chatty ladies too. We left them some money as a thank you!
The restaurant is located at the ground floor at the front of the hotel and we had our first night meal here, food and wine very nice, lots of seafood on the menu so would like more choice. The breakfast area at the back is quite large and has a very large and very huge selection of items for breakfast, hot and cold food, desserts, vodka and orange shots and boody Mary shots too for breakfast! Breakfast is a real treat!
There is a shop around the corner to the right when you come out of the hotel which sells bottles of white wine for €1.80 and bottles of red for €3.95. Not bad at all!
Also, there are some adult bars around the area in the streets near the hotel (some of the bars are showing adult gay porn to the customers) but please, please go and visit a stunning bar on the street directly behind the hotel called "La Vila", it has the most beautiful terrace at the back that I have ever seen on a bar. (This bar enjoys a varied clientele, it is not in the least bit made for one type of customer). The inside of the bar is also sooo relaxing and tranquil, you will not want to leave! €7.50 for 2 beers and a glass of wine, wonderful. The owners are also so amazingly friendly but not all over u!
As for Hotel Platjador, I would happily stay here any time and if I am back in Sitges, I AM staying here and socialising at La Vila behind!
Room Tip: Try for one on the 3rd or 4th floor as you can see over the palm trees right onto the beach. Room 40...
