Great little place. Spent time at Santa maria. Great food. All the staff and the wait staff couldn't have been more helpful and pleasant.

We arrived to a deserted hotel with no reception. After an hour or 2 we found that we had to go to a nearby hotel reception! There were no staff at the hotel except for cleaning for the 5 days we stayed. Perhaps it was shoulder season. The fire alarm went off at 4am one night and nobody came, I had to go to the other hotel to alert them, fortunately it was a false alarm! Dangerous.
On the plus side, the hotel was fairly clean. The room was a fair size and the view excellent, although no balcony to enjoy it on unlike neighbouring hotels. The location is possibly the best in Sitges, being near the old part and its shops, but away from the noise, and as near to the beach as is possible.

I stayed at La Pinta with a friend from NYC on 28th Aug x 3 nights. I remembered the hotel from a previous stay and chose it for its wonderful location right on the promenade.

The hotel is part of three independent almost side by side hotels (the Nina & Santa Maria) right on the main strip.

If you are after a 'flashy' hotel, this is not for you but if its a daily cleaned room, crisp white sheet and fluffy towels, plenty of hot water, interrnational TV stations and a hotel within seconds of the beach and minutes to an array of restaurants and facilities, this hotel does what it says on the box.

We paid €99 per room per night inc tax and breakfast (which is served at the Santa Maria next door) and would say was good value for money. We had a view across the town and mountains to the rear however if you plan to spend lots of time in your room, for an extra €20 per night you can have a wonderful view across the ocean.

Sitges is a wonderful town just 45 minutes south of Barcelona, but a world away. The town is charming, the beaches wonderful, though very crowded, the people friendly, and the food expensive, though good. This hotel is not fancy, but has a local charm. BUT be sure to get a room with a sea view, other rooms can be dark and a bit deoressing. The rooms are small, the beds OK, there is a refrigerator and safe in the room, the staff extremely pleasant, the locastion SUPERB, and the food fine. Would definitely stay here again if I again had a room with a view..... However, spoke to some one who was at The hotel for the Sitges festival week,there was a bandstand on the beach right outside his window where they played loud music until 5 A.M. !
