We arrived to find the apartment (3B) very cold ..I suspect the heating hadn't been switched on for very long.A very uncomfortable night.By the time we came to leave next morning only then was it warm.I'm sure it's fine in the Summer !

We spent three weeks here in 2011. The location was excellent especially if you enjoy walking through this beautiful city. The apt had everything we needed and was spotlessly clean. We did not have a car and all the taxis know where the hotel is. The family that owns it were helpful. It was a pleasure to stroll out to a nearby restaurant or to the university. We would defintely stay there again.

I have stayed here about 20 times now. The owner greets me as a friend now. We have brought our friends here and stayed in the 2 bed apartments. They all love it. Apart from being a little tricky to find by car, the location is amazing. The bells of the cathedral will wake you but thats what you get for staying in the centre of Girona next to the cathedral.
I have considered staying in other places in Girona, but never have. I dont believe any will be better than Hotel Historic. Love it

My friends and I drove to Girona from Barcelona to spend a day and night before heading to the Dali Museum in Figueres. Hotel Historic is in the ancient walled city, where a car is almost as wide as the cobblestone streets. The hotel was hard to find, but our GPS managed to get us there. The building that houses the hotel is very old and lovely. The hotel staff was warm and welcoming. Our apartment was clean and comfortable. Outside the hotel, walking through the winding Medieval streets, we felt transported to another time. Across the bridge, the newer parts of the city were also charming. However, after we went to bed, bells (presumably from the nearby Cathedral) rang every 15 minutes throughout the night! As we spent only one night, we were able to laugh about it in the morning.
