Reception staff excellent, especially Manel. All friendly smart and very helpful.I fractured my wrist towards the end of the holiday and all staff tried to do as much as possible to make life bit easier for me. Manel was exceptional in his care and helpfulness to the 4 of us at all times. We thought the restaurant food was average but improved on from 3years ago.Only problem was the bar ran out of several types of drink at the weekend and all were still unavailable 5days later not that it was a big problem but it is pleasant to have a nightcap once not driving when back in the hotel. It was very easy to get everywhere from the hotel as well situated. Would have liked the jacuzzi to have been free so the 4 of us could have used it every day. Overall would recommend the hotel and would definately stay there again.Good car parking facilities.

Booked this Hotel after being stranded in Barcelona for 2 extra days due to air traffic control strike. Friends and I decided we would change location to see more of this area of Spain. Found this on a website and to be honest booked it becasue it was the cheapest on offer at short notice. Are we so glad we did. Staff helpful and sympathetic, rooms clean and a better standard that more expensive ones I've stayed in, dinner mmmm ok but breakfasts great. Pool area large and clean and why moan about walk into town when buses take you in and out for 1 euro 25?. A great find and one I will def use again if I visit Girona for a planned trip

The staff is fantastic sweet and welcoming.
The hotel is clean and nice and they serve the best breakfast buffet I have ever seen in Spain.
Although there are many guests is allways very quiet.
The hotel is within walking distance from town (10 min).

We stayed at the Hotel Costabella for two nights while visiting historic Girona. The hotel is a good 20 minute walk from the historic center and there is nothing around the hotel. There are city buses that come by the hotel but only one goes to the local train/bus station so check the bus schedule if you plan to use it. The hotel room was average, the staff were helpful when we had questions, and generally it was clean and comfortable, however maintenance was lacking. The shower drain in our room backed up making for a difficult day at one point. The price was reasonable. If you are looking for an economical hotel without the frills this one is ok but nothing more.
