The Guest House was clean, the rooms basic, comfortable and adequate. The owners are friendly and helpful and hold to high standards. The kitchen is well organized with different containers linked to the different rooms - so you can keep your food in the refrigerator or pantry and it avoids confusion between guests. There are two washrooms in the guest house and both were cleaned daily. My only criticism is the bathroom nearest to the kitchen has a horrible sewer smell to it but if you close the door - it does not impact the rest of the apartment. And this is out of the owner's control. Otherwise, a great kitchen with some spare ingredients to share like oil and salt which was much appreciated. As a solo traveller, it was also a great way to meet other travellers renting other rooms in the guest house and we often shared meals together. This just made my trip that much more fun, enriching and enjoyable. The rooms are very affordable and the Guest House is in an excellent location about three blocks from the Sagrada Familia. I would highly recommend the Padilla Guest House!

Very clean, big rooms and located very near to Sagrada Familia. You don't live with a family if that is what you are looking for, but as an affordable and more freestyle option to a hotel is a great option

Located in a large flat. Not fancy but tidy, appears to be cleaned daily (saw cleaning lady twice), nice neighborhood with lots of bars and restaurants, within walking distance of 2 Metro stops and the Sagrada Familia. Free self service coffee/tea and breakfast cereal/toast. Only real downside is no TV, but who goes to Barcelona to watch TV?
