I see many others have mentioned the excellent location, so I won't talk about it. The atmosphere was what i liked the most - Ana makes the place cozy and welcoming. She took me under her wing from the start - gave me many useful suggestions for sightseeing and having fun. The place itself - an old apartment converted into guest rooms is very quaint and traditional (loved the glassed-in balcony). The only small beef I have is that the bathroom is not en-suite and the walls are pretty thin, but overall it was excellent value for money and an unforgettable experience. Thank you, Ana, I will be back as soon as I can.

This is my third visit to Barcelona, love the city.
Ana is a gracious host who warmly opens her home to travelers. Ana and Natalia provided top notch service, and flexibility with check-in and check-out times.From the very first emails with Ana I felt at home.
The guesthouse was lovely and comfortable -spacious extremelly clean. The Metro station Verdauger is literally across the street so the location is great for traveling to all the sights in Barcelona.
Breakfast in the morning is where you can meet people all around the world, professionals and well educated.
It's also 10 minutes walk away from Sagrada Familia.
About 25 minutes walking, along Passeig de Gracia, a lot of shops, Gaudi's houses ... Very nice walk!

My boyfriend and I spent 2 nights at Ana's Guesthouse from 21st to 23rd of september.
Very very pleasant stay!
First about the location ... We took the bus from the airport to Plaza Catalunya and then decided to walk to the guesthouse. About 25 minutes walking, along Passeig de Gracia, a lot of shops, Gaudi's houses ... Very nice walk! Then, just in front of the Guesthouse, you find the metro station, very convenient to move further or at night... It's also 10 minutes walk away from Sagrada Familia! So very good location!
About the Guesthouse ... We stayed in room #1 with one double bed and private shower. The room is small but that's enough for the time we spent there ... it's clean, the bathroom is nice with a bathtub... Bring your own soap if you are staying more than a night because one is provided but is very small! There is a window in the room but we kept it closed because the view is awfull and the waterpipes outside, just next to the window were very noisy every time water was running into them! But there is an air conditionning in the room ... just in case.
Ana and her daughter Natalia are very friendly. They gave us touristic tips, advices, prices so we could go around the city very easily! They were always available for anything we needed!
I really would recommend Ana's Guesthouse for people looking for a good located, friendly, clean and affordable place to stay in Barcelona.

I didn't know what to expect, staying at a guest house in a city I've never been in. I also don't speak or understand Spanish well. But from the very first emails with Natalie I felt at home.

First the cons: The specific building and location in the building is a little confusing. It is upstairs above some businesses and has a very small elevator. The actual rooms are tiny conpared to rooms in the US. The common area is where breakfast is setup so no hanging around in the mornings.

Now the pros: The first pro is Natalie. She couldn't have been more helpful in guiding us around town and directing us to the best sightseeing. We were spending two days in Barcelona before a cruise, I now wish I could have had more time. Her English more than made up for my lack of Spanish.

The rooms, house and area were clean and comfortable. The prices couldn't be beat. The hostess and food were excellent and started our vacation off on just the right foot.

The location was excellent for most any sightseeing in Barcelona. We took the whole day pass on all three tourist bus lines and had a great time. We walked around the city at night and ate wherever we ended up. The city and people are great and if I ever get back that way I will definitely pick Ana's as my first choice.
