“Good value heart of Barcelona”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 January 2012

Very central, located in gothic area, Ramblas, shops, restaurants, bars all on your doorstep. Liecu 2mins walk away. Clean no frills. Roof terrace + plunge pool/Jacuzzi/lounge chairs, views the city. Not many rooms have outside window, most have window onto corredor. Room VERY hot, (in Janaury, which is very mild) the management have the heating on and not able to change controls, but they did try! TV dual language button did not work - but able to get pathetic BBC World. I would definitely stay at this hotel again, it was perfect for my one night stay. Breakfast costs 10E - but I reccommend one of the great cafes nearby.

Room Tip: Request a room with a window that opens onto the street. Take breakfast in a nearby cafe.

We stayed in may and this is a little gem tucked away just round the corner to las ramblas.
Staff were lovely and the room was spot on for the price. We had one excellent days weather and one dull so we tool advantage of the hot tub on the roof on the not so good day. Would definitely return had a fantastic time :)

“Great Hotel Great Location and Great Price”

I spend 4 nights in Barcelona, took the airport bus into town and short walk through the old town to the Hotel.... The Check was painless and staff were friendly... The room was clean and roomy ... the color scheme was different was nice change from the boring multinational hotel rooms... The hotel is in a great location and short walks to Las Ramblas and harbor... close to metro and shops... Love the swim pool and roof top... to escape the heat.... I would stay here again....

Room Tip: Try to get a room with a window... My faced into the central courtyard...

“Good location. Nice hotel for a good price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 December 2011

I recently stayed at this hotel for four nights while in Barcelona. The hotel location is good and is very close to Las Ramblas without being on Las Ramblas. It is also close to the Gothic Quarter which has the Picasso Museum, Barcelona Cathedral, etc. Plus you can get the metro from the stations in Las Ramblas.

The hotel has recently been renovated and you can tell. The rooms are modern and clean. We also had a room with no outside windows but only one to the inside hallway. We asked the front desk and they offered to move us but warned that the outside facing windows can be very loud at night so we stayed where we were.

The only issue is that the heater was on for the hotel and so it got hot in the room and we had to open the window to the hall and actually bought a fan for the room.

The staff was very nice and helpful the whole time. They helped with directions, the open bus tours, etc. They were very friendly the entire time.

One more thing to note, the street that this is located on is very old and very small. Cabs are not allowed to go down the street after dark but it is not a far walk from the nearest large street. And I felt safe the whole time, even walking back late at night.

“Nice place in the mid of the old Gotic Barri”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 November 2011

Fine place in the mid of the old town. Clean but a little bit rusty, meaning with this that something is old and not all equipments are updated or restored to a perfect status.
Good choices for breakfast.
Some rooms, amongst which mine, only have a corridor window not allowing you to see the sky and/or appreciate the weather or change the room air.
