Good location; small but clean and comfortable room; attentive service. Room on first floor (second story) was slightly noisy in the evenings and early mornings (from the cafeteria below), but all in all not bad -- just a little expensive.

Since it is a hostel, it was quite noisy at night (group of portuguese college students on holidays). But that was to be expected based on the reviews. That's my only complaint. Otherwise, it's a great location (1 block from port and 1 block from end of Las Ramblas), and a great value for the money. The man at the front desk was very helpful.

I stayed here one night prior to a cruise. It is a very clean and well located hotel. It is just a few minutes walk to the bottom of the Ramblas and the Maritime Museum is around the corner. If you are going on a cruise, just walk to behind the Christopher Columbus Statue and catch the shuttle bus for E2 per person. Takes you right to the ship.
The rooms are small and I found the traffic noise a bit loud at night (I turned on the fan to drown out the noise). For E63 for a single room, it was excellent value and great for one night especially if you are going on a cruise and just need a place to stay.

I must admit that the word "Hostel" was not encouraging, but we were so pleased to have gone ahead and booked an overnight room pre-cruise. We wanted to be within walking distance of most attractions and also close to the Cruise ship Port. The bed was most comfortable! Good to mention for anyone with mobility difficulties - there are a few rooms on the main floor with wheelchair access and huge bathrooms/shower areas.
