The personell (Augustus and Amit) are very polite, helpful and attentive. They can be
trusted and are willing to do extra service with a smile, e.g. ordering taxis and changing
cleaning-schedule to suit the visitors needs.

Although the apartments are right off the Ramblas the area is basically a slum when we got out of our taxi the smell of drains and rotting food was awful there is graffiti everywhere, and we certainly did not feel safe and that was in daylight would hate to see what it was like at night . We were met at reception by the cleaner there was no-one else there. Our studio which in the description came with a balcony was in fact down metal stairs to a basement with no window. Only because I refused to stay there and created a fuss did they find us somewhere else which we had to walk to across Barcelona with our cases.

My friend booked these apartments for his stag doo in December 2009 and they was extremely cheap compared to other quotes he was getting for hotels in similar locations - so we was expecting the worse .

I am pleased to say that we was very pleased with what we got.

The apartments are really spacious. We had 3 lots of the apartments that sleep 6 and all were of the same standard. They were clean, roomy, very well equiped kitchens and decoration was basic so no complaints about the room.

The hotel location was excellent!!! Only 2 minute walk to les rambulas which is the hub of Barcelona nightlife. The actual street that the hotel is set in does not feel safe but luckily we did not have any problems so it must just feel like its in the ghetto.

Barcelona is an excellent city with lots to do but a word of warning - beware of pick-pocketers!! Our friend was robbed in the street and heard many a story about others being robbed and mugged. It is so rife out there that shops even t-shirts printed with the logo "I was robbed in Barcelona".

Would definately recommend Barcelona and especially the Guardia apartments.

My partner and I stayed here for a few days on a short trip to Barcelona.
After a quickl phone call to the owner he was there to meet us on the street so we didn't miss the turn. He also helped us with our luggage.
The apartment was perfect for us. We booked the two bed apartment for the two of us as we like lots of space.
The apartment was clean and the position just off Las Ramblas was perfect.
The view from the balcony was not great but we were out most of the time.
Everything worked fine and the owners were more than happy to provide anything you may need.
On the whole a very enjoyable stay and would recommend.
