Paddy was an extremely gracious and wecoming host. He could not have been more helpful. We were only in Barcelona for a day. Thanks to Paddy, we were able to maximize our experience. The location was perfect - across from the harbor and an easy walk to Old Town and Las Ramblas.

Stayed at the fabulous Captain's cabin with harbour view. The room was clean, comfortable and 5 minute to the Hop On Hop Off bus terminal, the metro and cruise ship shuttle. Room has excellent view. Patrick, our host was very friendly and gave us good tips on the best places to visit in Barcelona.
Will definitely stay here again.

We were two couples, one of whom had stayed here before (always a good recommendation). We stayed for two nights in November before our cruise. We arrived by overnight train from Paris, four people and baggage. The taxi driver at the station made a face when we showed him the address. We quickly found out why. It was just along the road, not very far. Big tip. You could walk up and down all day and not realize there's a B & B in this building, the front door is just like any other anonymous door. Ring the right bell and Paddy comes down to greet you.

Since it was only around 9:00am, we were hoping to drop off our baggage and then tour Barcelona. Paddy made us welcome and we were given our room keys. Great! Plus a goldmine of information for new tourists. Need I say that Paddy is Irish?

The location is wonderful - on the waterfront, two minutes from Las Ramblas and also from 'old Barcelona' just in behind, with narrow streets and lots of atmosphere. In the photos, look top right for the building with the bright blue awning. That's it, on the fourth floor. You can see why it is called 'Marinaview'. At least it would be if you get one of the front rooms.

We enjoyed our stay and would go straight there next time we are back in town. Paddy looks after you very well, will answer all your questions and wants to make sure that you are comfortable and enjoy your stay. You couldn't ask for better.

Patty is just like in all prior favaorable Trip Advisor reviews. Little can be added to previous postive endorsements of Marina View BB. We arrived at 11:00am and Patty stored our luggage untill the Captian's room was ready and he took our 6 pieces of luggage to his office and later to our room over looking the Marina. Patty provided detailed instructions on how to take the train on your own to Montserrat Spain monastery and it was relatively easy to follow. We spent three nights at Marina View BB begining on October 27th prior to cruise October 30th 2011 on Royal Caribbean's "Voyager of the Seas" Barcelona to New Orleans
Our stay at Marina View BB was excellent in every detail. But our 13 night cruise on "Vogager of the Seas" was a night mare, a sail to hell and back highlighted with Bed Bugs an Lousy Food.
