The hotel has a great location for Barcelona sightseeing. To the Barceloneta beach, one can walk in 15-20 min. The Zoo and Cuitadela Park are situated nearby. Many sights, including Gothic Quarter, Catalonia Square, Ramblas and the port are not far, too. Metro station Arc de Triomphe (about 300 m from the hotel) enables you to go to the other parts of the city. The room is not big, but clean and cozy.
We lived in a room facing the yard, but the yard is narrow and dark, so it's like having no window. From the other side, rooms facing yard are cheaper.
The staff is friendly, and helped us a lot.

This is a family run operation, and has been in the neighborhood a long time. Locals gather regularly for coffee in the AM and wine and tapas at night. You quickly feel like a part of the neighborhood. The staff was very friendly - even when you didn't speak Spanish/Catalon (and they, English) - they were helpful, and made you feel at home. The food was excellent. If you don't want to be in the "middle of things" but with perfect access to beach, (20 minute walk), great Metro station location, beautiful park, and the Old Town and all amenities - this is the place. This is why I rate it Very Good. I would stay here again. However, the rooms are bare bones - they are clean, AC works great, but they are very very basic. No fridge in rooms, and not a fancy "design-focused " hotel.

The location of the hotel was brilliant-very close to the Gothic Quarter, metro stop about 5 minutes walk from the hotel, beach was about 15 minutes walk. The hotel itself was basic, but clean, modern rooms with bathroom and air conditioning. Perfect place to stay if you just want somewhere basic and reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend it to couples who are exploring the city for a few days

I stayed here whilst on a tight budget, taking a bit of chance because of its poor rating.

It was ideal. Located just away from main touristy area but within easy walking distance of El Born, Barri Gotic, La Rambla, the port, etc.

For the price, you could not have asked for more. Two of us sharing a twin room paid about £35 each. It was clean, had air conditioning (which was very much appreciated), friendly helpful staff, nice breakfast. All in all, tremendous value for money.
