There were good things about the room such as the A/C, it was very clean, small flat screen TV..and these were all great given that i was too scared to leave my room. There are prostitutes roaming everywhere, people passed out on the street, others yelling at you once you get out of the building and ect. It was the most miserable night i have ever had. As a group of 12, we refused to leave the building without eachother at all times. It is close to Las Ramblas which was good, but if you can afford it, i deffinitely reccomend finding a nicer, less dangerous area to stay in. The cheap price was not worth it!

toilet - clean, moden, shower

wifi- not in the room but at the reception.
microwave, fridge, computer internet, electric kettel - yes, at the reception.
balcony- yes
aircond -yes
elevator - yes, but too small for two people inside.
staff - ok, dont speak english much, but they are ok.
location-perfect (3minits walk to the ramblas, near to halal restaurants, groceries, mini market, 1 minit walk to Palau Guell)
Sleep quality - poor, because of the noisy from the street with people shouting etc till two in the morning :(
they ask for the deposit of 10Eur forTV remote control and airconditioner remote control - funny :)
price - eur55/nite - consider OK for the peak season, i think it would be much cheaper during low season.
I dont have any problem with this hotel except my travelling partner not able to sleep well due to the noisy from the street and worn-out spring bed. Housekeeping everyday but no bed sheet change. check out at 11 a.m. - too early! and at 11.20a.m. the receptionist called asking us to check out. funny eh? i was too tired to haggle.

i dont know if i should recommend this hotel to you or not... but i thicked Yes - but actually, I got 50-50 feeling of this hotel.... you will spend more than 12hours outside of the room anyway.

anyway, my vacation was great. barcelona was vibrant, colorful and happening.

All the reviews here are somewhat right. If you want to stay b/c the price is reasonable (40 Euros for 2 pax) and you like the proximity to Las Ramblas, than you must now what you are getting. A small room, not too clean but not too dirty, a TV, AC if you need, extra blankets, good bathroom, depressing and decrepit atmosphere and a street which is not too safe at all. The prostitutes are the least of my worries, but the drunk young customers who hand out in front of the hotel are a little more frightening. At last the biggest drawback is the noise. I have earplugs, and still could not sleep at all between the street noise and the other guests. I will not stay here again.

had a very good time in the hostel,friendly and helpfull staff,neigbourhood bit odd but u can get use to it:)small but clean rooms,very close to main strret Ramblas and shops!if u don't need a luxury that's good place to be!Very chep aswell!I"ll remember the staff:-)very positive people!!!
