This is the final stop of our drive-thru trip in Spain, having traveled from Madrid, Toledo, Jaen, Valencia and stayed in 4 Paradores before staying here. This hotel is clean and modern, good for it's price, but with no room service other than the minimal cleaning ( ie. we asked for cutlery to eat fruits, and we had to get it ourselves from the bar near the lobby.. a bit of a walk indeed). It's 28km from city centre and to the airport, so you would really need a car. Car park is free but there is a persistent puddle in the car park which we had to jump across everynight after returning which is a nuisance. Gym was a bit small, pool was slightly dirty, and it would be nice to have a balcony too. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful though.

Stayed there in July 2010 and really enjoyed it.
If you don't mind driving 20-25 mn to Barcelona downtown, this is THE place.
Even if you don't play golf, you will enjoy walking around the park. The small village a few KM away from the hotel has a nice atmosphere where you can enjoy a simple and inexpensive dinner outside.
Rooms are clean, good size, well equipped bathrooms with jet showers and bathtubs. Swimming pool is supposed to close at 9:00 pm but nobody will say anything if you stay longer.
Food is good. Staff is nice even and you can wear very casual even though this golf resort is used to seeing jet set members.
A great place to relax after a busy day in Barcelona. YES ! we will go back.

We recently stayed in this for two nights and I have nothing but praise for the hotel and their wonderful staff.
From the clean modern rooms to the wonderful pool area the whole experience was a delight. The breakfast buffet catered to all tastes and was a highlight of our stay.
I must mention the excellent staff at the Barcelo. We had a problem with a rental car and the staff dealt with it for us,making endless phone calls to the car company on our behalf, while we sat round the pool.
Definitely worth a visit but be warned it is a long way outside Barcelona.

We have just returned form a fantastic overnight stay in the hotel. The first impressions are grea,t fantastic view very clean and bright, helpful receptionist and a welcome bottle of cava in our room. Our stay included access to the spa but we were warned at the time of booking that the children may not be alowed in, however it was very quite in the hotel (it being out of season) so they were allowed in. We spent a very pleasent hour and a half enjoying the spa facilities with a panaoramic backdrop of the mountains o fmontserrat. The evening meal was a la carte with a good selection and good quality food and service. We didint take advantage of the beautiful golf facilities as we were only there overnight. Montserrat is about a 20min drive from the hotel (our reason for visiting) and was an incredible day out (take walking gear there are some fantastic but steep walks),I would definatly return to the hotel probably for 2 nights next time. Beautiful,tranquil but be warned in the middle of nowhere.
