“Beautiful setting idyllic weekend away”

We have just returned form a fantastic overnight stay in the hotel. The first impressions are grea,t fantastic view very clean and bright, helpful receptionist and a welcome bottle of cava in our room. Our stay included access to the spa but we were warned at the time of booking that the children may not be alowed in, however it was very quite in the hotel (it being out of season) so they were allowed in. We spent a very pleasent hour and a half enjoying the spa facilities with a panaoramic backdrop of the mountains o fmontserrat. The evening meal was a la carte with a good selection and good quality food and service. We didint take advantage of the beautiful golf facilities as we were only there overnight. Montserrat is about a 20min drive from the hotel (our reason for visiting) and was an incredible day out (take walking gear there are some fantastic but steep walks),I would definatly return to the hotel probably for 2 nights next time. Beautiful, tranquil but be warned in the middle of nowhere.

“Great views, modern hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 October 2010

Stayed at this hotel on the way back from Murcia to the UK; great location for views and the actual mountain range (Montserrat.) Rooms are execllent, clean, modern, everything worked! The hotel is modern and pleasant. The staff were ok when speaking Spanish but were not that pleased to speak in English (which is fair enough!)
The swimming pool was small for the size of hotel but very safe. Great little pool for under 2's or non swimmers. Drinks expensive but it is near Barcelona. The food was ok nothing special. Never had a time to play golf but it looked fantastic. Ideal hotel for couples with very young children. Nice Spa too!
A long weekend type hotel & way too far out of Barcelona to drive in & cabs, will cost you an earth especially on the return journey. That said the room cost €93.00 for the three of us so good value.

“What a lovely place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 September 2009

I have spent 4 great long week-ends at this hotel in the last 6 months and enjoyed all of them. I have always found the staff courteous, polite and helpful. Yes, the service can be a little slower than you are used to in the U.K. but it's a holiday so relax and enjoy! As for not having enough sun loungers isn't that the normal thing where ever you are!
I will certainly come here again and would recommend it to any new visitors. Come and see for yourself, you will not be disappointed.
If there happens to be a wedding while you are there it can only add to your experience of life in Spain. I came to relax and unwind which I did!

“Peaceful spot, but staff have attitude problem”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 September 2009

We stayed for five days at this hotel in late August. I'd played golf at the adjacent course the previous year, and thought the hotel looked fabulous. It's a quiet, peaceful place - when there isn't a wedding being held there! - but it could be so much better. The bar and restaurant service is painfully slow, and the staff can be abrupt and outright rude. The food is generally OK when it eventually arrives, but don't expect gourmet Catelonian food. If you want that, head for the Can Bonastre wine resort 5 km north, which is an oasis in comparison, but also much more expensive. Unless the Barcelo management sort out the staffing problem, and unless you're luckier than we were, this is a place to avoid. Also, the spa costs hotel guests 13 euros, which is a disgrace. The pool is good, but lacks adequate sunloungers.
