Literally steps away from the beach. If you've never been to a Barcelona beach be prepaired for haggling for everything under the sun. Rooms are cool and have private bathrooms which is awesome. Only stayed for 1 night but would have stayed more.

The sea point hostel is very nice located, directly at the beach of barcelona. The staff is very friendly. The rooms are ok with an integrated bathroom. To get some sleep it is probably not the best hostel. All dorms are conected to each other and you can here everyone talking and snore...
I stayed in two hostels on my trip to Barcelona and this one was a little disappointing. The location was nice right on the beach but it was a little bit of a hike from the centre of Barcelona by foot and was a decent 10 minute walk from the nearest metro station. The worst thing about this hostel was that the walls didn't go right up to the ceiling so you could hear everything from all the other rooms and vice versus so it was hard to get even a couple of hours sleep. While sleep isn't on most people's agendas while staying in a hostel it would be nice not to hear everyone's conversations. Breakfast was very simple, there wasn't even hot water for tea or coffee or bread. If you're staying in Barcelona I'd recommend to stay at Hostel Centric rather than this one. While they are run by the same chain, Hostel Centric was much better located and set out.
This hostel was very clean and the bedrooms had bathroom in our rooms so they were not common bathrooms. We were in a room with 7 people which was good because there was 4 of us travelling together and we got good roommates who did not care if we were a little noisy. Unfortunately the walls do not connect to the ceiling and there were rooms full of high school boys on both sides of us that woke up at 7 am and were yelling in german and playing music very loud. The only thing I would suggest is that they change the quiet hours from about 1 am until about 10 am since we are in barcelona! The hostel was in a great location you could walk out your door and be on the beach the only problem is if u want to get drunk in your hostel u have to be sneeky so if that is what you want maybe try to find another hostel that allows drinking. Overall it was a clean and friendly environment and I would recommend staying there
Also known as Equity Point - Sea Point hostel (they run a few in Barcelona) - its right by the beach which is fantastic with all the views and artwork. Its also near the strip with lots of restuarants, supermarkets etc It is about a 10 minute walk to the nearest metro station which will take you to all areas of the town and tourist points
The hostel: generally the staff are friendly, we paid 16Euros a night which included free breakfast (cereals, juice, coffee, tea etc), free internet (30 mins Global Gossip card but if you have wifi laptop/iphone/ipod its free).
We had a 5 bed dorm with its own ensuite which was cleaned daily. The room was fine but got very hot in evenings the higher up you were, the 5th bed was up a long and perhaps dangerous flight of step ladders even for a soba person to contend with - the walls did not go to the top of the ceilings so you could see and hear the next few rooms which was strange.
Overall the hostel was nice and clean if a little small. Generally a quiet place from about 1am onwards which I felt was acceptable, but if you want somewhere quiet possibly not the bext place.
