Stayed here as a surprise 3 day break for my wife's 40th birthday. Hotel is in a superb location, yards from Placa de Catalunya where all buses and tours seem to start and finish. Las ramblas, gothic, exeimpler (?) districts all close by and lots of v good tapas bars nearby. Cava on arrival and staff were excellent. Room was quite small but very tidy and neat with a huge bed. The toilet seat was broken when we arrived but we reported it and the receptionist sent someone straight up to repair it. Breakfast choice was very good and served till late, although the staff were sometimes slow to replenish hot food. All in all this hotel is good and serves its purpose for a short visit to a very beautiful city.

The location is perfect. It is close to where the airport buses stop (Placa Catalunya) and very central for all other sights.

The hotel is very modern, we had a warm and friendly welcome from the reception staff and got a glass of bubbly wine on our arrival. The room was modern, massive queen size bed and plenty of room for our things. We were at the front of the hotel - 412 so we could hear the traffic - which to be honest didn't bother us, it didn't stop us sleeping after a days sightseeing and as the hotel is so central I don't see how you can then complain about the noise!!

Breakfast was one of the best buffets I have ever had, it is all the usual - fruit, bread, meat,cheeses, pastries, hotfood but the quality was exceptional. I couldn't fault it.

All in all it's a hotel I would recommend to anyone. We managed to walk to most of the sights - La Pedrera and Sagrada Familia are all within easy walking distances. We did walk to Park Guell but it was all uphill and I don't think we would have walked if we had known how far it was! So I would recommend getting the tourist bus up there which we did get to the Football ground.

Stayed here at the beginning of January after visiting family in England and before returning to Canada. Hotel was better than expected. Staff very helpful and friendly. Went to breakfast late every day but staff still got us coffee and let us eat without rushing us out of the restaurant. There are two computers with a printer available for guest use... nice touch. Room was very clean and modern. Will definately return to this hotel and recommend it to others.

Like many others have said, the location is almost perfect. Rambla, the Gothic quarters, metro, the harbor - everything within walking distance. Excellent airport shuttle bus (leaves every 5 minutes) is 2 minutes away.

Our room was on the 8th floor, facing to the backyard. Very quiet, expect when it comes to noises from other rooms, you could hear their phones ringing but i did not hear talking, partying etc. Cleaning was good, minibar selection and prices ok, Shower good, water temperature was changing sometimes, though. Room was big enough for us, there were 2 of us, i don't think you could fit kids in there.

The young staff was polite and helpful. Gave good tips about bars, transportation, etc. Their English is ok. Breakfast maybe 8/10. Nice cheeses, good selection of soft drinks and tasty coffee.

We were there on Christmas -11, we will go back.
