For the price, this hotel was fine. It has all your basic necessities; it could even be considered "budget business class." The staff is friendly and helpful, and you're within walking distance of the Metro (5 mins) and Plaza Espanya (10 mins). HOWEVER, the area is a little sketchy at night. There's not much to do nearby, a lot of stores are closed and the hotel is off the main street. After taking the Metro back late one night, we decided cabs were a safer bet for the rest of the trip. AND...at about 4 a.m. on Saturday night, someone tried to break into our room!!! I woke up to the door handle being strongly jiggled while someone pushed on the door. Thankfully, they didn't get in but it scared the bejesus out of us and we wound up wedging a chair under the handle the rest of the trip. Other than that, good luck getting an extra towel or pillow (you'll want them). Be persistent! And vigilant! Overall, it's a clean, friendly hotel. But I would not stay here again due to the location and attempted break-in.
