my friend and i have just spent 5 fantastic days in barcalona! never been before but will return for sure!!! managed to cram lots of sights into our trip, lots of shoppin and still time for eating, drinking, and sunbathing!! the hotel is ideal for being close by to restaurants, shops and the local bus routes to las rambles but not close enough so you are disturbed by the busy nightlife in the early hours, very clean, staff helpfull and speak english, breakfast suited our needs just fine, would stay again at the hcc open xx

My Boyfriend and I spent a fantastic four days in Barcelona. We managed to cram everything we wanted into that time even in the August heat.
The hotel was well located to reach all sites. It was 10 minutes walk from the Olympic park, 20 minutes walk from Las Ramblas, and close enough to the Nou Camp. It was clean, the breakfast was adequate (though no hot option) and there was a great restaurant 10m from reception.

My wife and I spent an amazing week in Barcelona. Of all the cities I've visited it was the most interesting and maybe the most beautiful.

The HCC Open was a perfect compliment to the holiday trip. The hotel was clean, well run and well located.

We walk when we are on holiday and the HCC Open was an good distance from the Ramblas. Since the buildings and gardens of Barcelona are wonderfully different and beautiful walking through the city was a big part of the holiday.

The day began with a very good included breakfast which usually included Spanish dishes as well as typical European food.

The beds were firm but above average in my experience.

The only knock on the place, their in house laundry service is the most expensive I've seen in a long time.

As I said in the title, I would return to Barcelona and return to HCC Open.

Hotel was in a residential area, although we felt safe walking around at night it was too far to walk to the centre. Breakfast was €16 (nit including tax pp)! We took others advice & ate breakfast two blocks away on the main road.
Hotel was clean, but beds weren't changed every day. There was a hole in the bath that had been plugged with a bit of silicone. The rooms were tired in decoration, but not unusuL for European hotel decor, and you get what you pay for. We stayed in a room classed as on the inside (quieter than on the front if the hotel). Avoid this option if you are a light sleeper or enjoy sleeping at all. It backed into the service lifts & a cupboard for their supplies-v. noisy. T.v. Was circa 1980s equipped with Spanish channels only-great if you want to brush up or learn Spanish. It wasn't so good for us as due to location we could have dine with some English entertainment at night.
Hotel has free wi-fi but this is only accessible in the lobby.
We took others advice & got the aerobus to & from the airport, saving approx €15 pp.
