I stayed at the Ayre Caspe for 8 days over Christmas. The hotel is a great value. It's modern, clean, and reasonably quiet. The staff have all been kind and helpful. It's located in a more residential area, but within easy walking distance to the main sights.

The free internet worked well enough in the rooms and very well in the lobby. The bathroom has a tub and shower, which was nice- and unusual in Europe in my experience.

It's not a fancy place- more Ikea than the Ritz- but perfectly comfortable with a lovely staff and a reasonable price. I'd certainly stay here again.

Modern furnishings, good size for Barcelona, small fridge in the room, air conditioning working fine, good location, close to the subway and 15 minutes walking from downtown.
And reasonable priced for Barcelona as well.

We stayed here in October 2011, and would definitely stay again. The hotel was clean, modern and attractive and lovely and quiet at night. The bedrooms were a really good size, and the bathroom had wet-room shower AND a bath with a shower as well. The staff were all friendly and helpful, even though the extent of our Spanish was by way of a phrase book that we had bought two days previously! The breakfasts were fantastic. Lots of time allowed and plenty of choice for food and drink - even Cava! We were lucky as breakfast was included in our holiday package, but would have cost us 15 euros each otherwise. We ate in the hotel bar on a couple of evenings, and the prices were certainly reasonable. Wine is good value at 2 euros a glass and tastes good as well - not cheap plonk. Coca cola slightly more expensive at 2.50........but don't buy spirits unless you have plenty of money - my G&T cost more than 4 glasses of wine! The location is great as well, a shortish walk to the Sagrada Familia (our walk ended up longer as we got lost, having no sense of direction). Also walkable to the Ramblas and the lovely park which leads to the Barcelona Zoo.

All in all a place to return to to.

A pleasant modern hotel with uncluttered attractive bedrooms. The room we had was nice and quiet and the breakfasts good. One draw back was the double bed in adapted bedrooms - surely twin would have been more flexible to everyones needs? The adapted bathroom was well thought out. The staff were helpful and friendly and drinks prices were acceptable. Although I though the rooms were attractive I have only marked it 3 instead of 5 because of the problem with the adapted room.
