We got a last minute deal here just for one night before Christmas (travelling through Barcelona to final destination) Hit the jackpot by having a front view over Plaza Catalunya.
It's a basic hotel, no denying that, but the staff were great, it was clean and the location could't be better. Some noise from the street below......well, it is the start of Las Ramblas !!
Will definately go again.

Reasonably priced, clean and friendly hotel located on Plaza Catalunya at the top of the Rambla

We stayed here on our way to a Cruise for two nights with Friends and I must say that it truly has a fantastic location. Right on the corner of Las Ramblas metres away from fantastic restuarants and bars and everything you could possibly want. The rooms are average but clean and the staff is extremley helpful with anything you might need.
A word of warning though - it can get very noisy due to its location! If you are a light sleeper you might want to book an iniside room.
All in all a great place to have as a base in Barcelona to explore the city at a reasonable price.

I stayed in this hotel recently. It is the most disgusting filthy smelly place I have ever stayed.
I cannot imagine who would give this place a good review.
The doors and walls are paper thin. You really do not feel safe staying in the room.
It can get really hot and the air con is crap and noisy. There was vomit in the hall and the staff did not seem bothered. The told us leave our bags down in the dungeon behind the reception.
It's not safe to go down there. There are about twenty tiny steep steps.
I am amazed the owners are allowed get away with this.
Do yourself a favour and book someone else !
