My money were stolen from my room there and nobody wanted to do anything. They made me wait till the last day and then simply said that they can't help me at the moment. They only said: "We asked the room service, they told they didn't take it". What a cynicism! Then at the reception they gave me the paper to write a complaint "if I want to" and said that in this case the manager would call me in 3 days. Of course, nobody called me. I just haven't seen such cynical and unconcerned attitude anywhere!

I have stayed in this hotel due to a trade fair in Barcelona. The hotel was recommended by the organization, so we have booked over their system. The price was not very expensive and the location was OK. We knew this hotel while it was part of the AC hotel chain.
Since then, the things have changed quite a lot. I have booked for three nights and I got a very bad room. It had a "nice" view over the lifts. I could not open the curtains because anyone in the corridor could see me. The first night was OK, the second was worse and I felt like trapped during the third night. I recommend everyone to skip from this kind of room.
The size of the room was OK, although I could not put my little trolley into the cupboard. It was like living in Lilliput!!!! Additionally, there was no central heating in the room, even though there was in other rooms. There were two switches for some kind of heating but never worked. However, there was a horrible engine noise coming from the ceiling.
The bathroom was clean but you have to be very athletics to get into the shower, as there were no more than 30 centimetres between the sink and the bath and you have to push the protection glass from the shower. Otherwise, it was impossible to get into the shower. I cannot imagine a worst design in the bathroom!!!
The quality of breakfast is not what it used to be when AC was managing the hotel. The buffet was very limited: two types of bread (not even seeds bread), three pieces of fresh fruit for everyone, no low-fat yogurts, no ham, only iberic ham, three types of coffee (only from the Nespresso).... This was clearly a less than three star buffet. Moreover, when I tried to take an apple with me, I was encouraged to leave it as "it was not allowed to take food from breakfast"!!!!
I think I will never go back to this hotel and I think they should improve their service and value if they still want to be competitive out of the AC chain.

I travelled recently on business to Barcelona and selected this hotel due to the convenient location to the fair I visited. It is not only close to the Fair grounds, but Airport takes max 30 Min by bus from Placa Espagna or downtown (University or Placa Catalunya) an be reached on foot within 15 Min or 3 stops by subway. Cafes and pastry shops within a stone throw make life easier if you do not want to spend the 15 euros on breakfast at hotel. Staff is very nice, minibar is complimentary. The floor in the bedroom are wooden, nice but loud at the same time-take your slippers with you... Room is clean, perfect for one person. The rooms go on the road, in the summer or warm weather it is not possible to sleep with open windows due to noise. Great feature is the free internet in Lobby/bar area. If I visit Barcelona next year for the fair, I will stay there again
