Exactly what you expect of an excellent 3* hotel. The rooms were very clean and the service was good. We had booked 7 nights, and had a slight problem in that the first night we had to be moved to another hotel, but the temporary hotel was part of the same chain and very close in location; same level of service and cleanliness. The hotel sorted taxis and made sure we could check in immediately when we moved back.
I can't be sure, but think all the rooms in Catalonia Born have small balconies. The air conditioning is good. The bathroom was immaculate and had both bath AND a large shower. We'd read reviews re: items going missing from the mini-bar but had no such issues, although there is a list of what should be in your fridge so perhaps just double check everything is there on arrival.
Would have given 5*s based on what you get for the price had we not had to switch hotels, although in reality, we were treated very well in light of the problem at hand.

The hotel is located in a great area in the gothic quarter in Barcelona. It is very close to the Arc de Triumph and literally a 3 minute walk from the Metro and maybe a 10 minute walk to the city center. The room is not very big, though a good comfortable size. Clean bathroom. Great breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay and would come back!

The room and bathroom were good size for european standards. We were close to the metro - Arc de Triomphe - station. Also close to the Barri Gothic. The staff was very nice and helpful. I would stay there again.

We spent 3 nights at Catalonia Born, and, having booked it on line, were delighted to discover we had found a great deal. It provides services comparable to a much more expensive hotel. It is in a great location. Many places are accessible on foot and the metro is close by. We loved exploring the small streets and alleys of the old city. There is a great bakery down the street and a classic small neighborhood coffee shop immediately across the street. We felt that we saw the real Barcelona. The room was very comfortable, looking out onto a narrow back alley. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
