Hotel Aristol is a 3-star hotel located closed to the Unesco Heitage, Hospital de la Santa Creu I de Sant Pau. There are 2 metro station close by, the yellow line is slightly closer and you won’t need to climb up, convenient after a long hard day of walking. It wasn’t centrally located but nevertheless, easily accessed via metro. Towards the night the streets weren’t busy and one could hardly hear any traffic.
The hotel is crisp and clean, with very friendly and helpful staff. The room was sufficiently comfortable to accommodate two people without invading into each other’s space. It also has air conditioner with temperature controller. Lighting was sufficient. A safe and a fridge were available. High speed internet worked very well, accessible from the room without problem. Downside is no drinking glass or in-room tea/coffee facility. Nevertheless, one night requested spoons to be sent to the room and the staff happily brought it up.
The room was nicely furnished like a 3-star hotel expected. Bathroom was big, with a bathtub and a good-size counter and a huge mirror. The water pressure wasn’t very strong but water temperature was constant. Towel wasn’t replaced everyday, which did not bother us.
The breakfast consisted of two types of hams, cheese, eggs, cereals, breads, fruits, and yogurt, slightly too expensive for what it is.
Overall, the stay at Hotel Aristol was pleasant, for the price we paid (60 Euro/night without breakfast), it was a deal. Would certainly recommend it to others who do not mind to stay a bit away from the busy old town in Barcelona.
