Hotel is located right on Plaza Catalunya so smack in the heart of Barcelona. Lobby inexistant, but the 'guest' areas and room were very nice. Breakfast also very hearty. We booked a balcony room and expected a high floor, but instead these rooms are on the first floor. Nice patio but not much privacy as other buildings surrounding. Room nice, right size. Bathroom clean and 'new' but very, very small. A bit undecided if I'd return, considering the price. Overall nice, in the average.

only just got around to writing a review. Anyone going on a short city break to Barcelona - this is a perfectly located hotel. The airport buses and sightseeing buses all go from Catalunya Plaza and a good range of restaurants are nearby. Room was fine. Computer was available to access emails. Huge breakfast selection. Our room had a balcony overlooking the plaza but was high up so no noise. Perfect.

Only stayed here for a night so I could attend an xmas work party as I live outside BCN. I was pleasantly surprised, as for the very reasonable price I payed I was expecting a dive. The H10 Catalunya is right on Plaça Catalunya, my room had a direct view of the beautiful Christmas lights and it was really enchanting. You are right in the middle of town, with Metro and Train station at your doorstep, next to all the sights and walking distance to all the best restaurants. This is a much better and safer option than staying on the Ramblas, which is dangerous for tourists and quite frankly pretty grubby.
Staff were very nice, the room was very clean with comfy bed. Lots of complementary toiletries and a mini bar. Did not try the breakfast, so cannot comment. The building itself is beautifully restored with lots of original features, which is a nice change from bland purpose-built hotels. I would definitely recommend this place, fantastic value for money!

simply can not beat the location if you are a tourist. Rooms are small, customer service is limited, free internet access on 2nd or 3rd floor. Nasty smells in lobby area (sewer smells). Lasted the entire weekend.
