a nice hotel staff friendly and helpfull. rooms would have benefitted from tea and coffee facilities. fridge in room on its last legs. good location. a good break for me and my family

Hotel Lleo was clean and comfortable, with a great location. Just a short walk from Plaza Catalunya and Las Rambla, without all of the noise. However, the front desk service was very poor. Seems like the front desk folks were more interested in taking a smoking break just outside the front door instead of being at their post to answer the phone or help in other ways. If you can put up with that sort of frustration, I would say this would be a good bargain hotel.

We got exactly what we wanted

This was a decent 3* centrally located hotel near Place de Catalunya. Excellent location close to La Ramblas and metro station.

We went with 3 generations of family and all enjoyed it.

The rooms were basic but clean and satisfactory. Bathroom fine, beds comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was good with a decent choice of cereal, pastries fruit and hot food for all tastes.
The staff were poleasant and helpful throughout.

All in all I would recommend this as a budget hotel. It would have cost 50% more for us to stay at a 4* hotle close by and given that you really only sleep and eat breakfast in the hotel we chose to spend money on other things including a memorable trip to the Cpmp Nou - aweasome

This hotel is well located, clean and has comfortable beds. The shower was powerful but because of the structure of the shower panel, water went all over the floor (and I mean all over) however careful we were. Our room needed decorating as did the bathroom, where the paint was peeling (due to the over active shower).

The walls were very thin - you could hear the person snoring next door and once the TV went on you could hear that too. The TV worked but not if the hairdryer was on at the same time.

I've seen other reviews where the staff members were criticised. This was not our experience. They were helpful and professional but not obsequious.
