Small hotel, delicious breakfast, helpful and lovely staff, 5 mins walk from the Ramblas.
Fairly large room. and only 80-100 euros per night!

What a nice hotel. Very warm and friendly staff. Welcome glass of cava on arrival. Beautiful clean room with a small balcony overlooking a back-street just off Las Ramblas. Highly recommended!

Stayed four nights and had very enjoyable time. Took the RENFE train from the airport to passage de gracia station, then metro to Liceu which is only about 5 mins walk from the hotel. This is probably the cheapest way to arrive from the airport but not the quickest!
As per other reviews we found the staff to be very helpful and welcoming. Our room was on the top floor in a corner location: these room have the double sinks and seem to be a bit larger: but the down side of this room was that the only windows were skylights, fixed closed and with opaque glass, and a low level small window about the size and position of a radiator.The room was therefore hot, stuffy and claustrophobic. Our airconditioning did however (thankfully), work. The room was spotlessly clean, and only problem was the shower that went on a cycle of very hot, freezing cold and for a short time just right! We did ask if anything could be done about it....but apparently not.
Breakfast is very nice: cooked and cold buffet. Look out for B&B deals when booking. A safe is avaiable, and also luggage can be left secure if needed. All these things makes the stay easier.
The location is very enjoyable: near Las Ramblas, the metro, numerous eateries, and within walking distance of the port. Generally we felt safe, however don't be lulled into a false sense of security....one guest had all valuables taken from his rucksack whilst out and about. We had an attempted mugging/pick pocketing in the street outside the hotel, but managed to foil the attempt.
All in all I would consider returning to the hotel and think the staff should be proud of the service they supply.

we were greeted by a glass of prosecco and nuts upon check-in as a welcome drink and it was very welcoming indeed, after a long flight and travel to the hotel!

the room was pleasant and modern, lovely pillows and full bathroom amenities. there was enough space for both our huge backpacks, and free wifi! the hotel also had a public computer for all to use, and the staff were friendly and spoke good english, and were always ready to help you! the room heater was really powerful, but as we were both afraid of heat and the aircon didn't work due to winter, we had to sleep with the windows open as it was pretty stuffy, and we were worried that someone might climb in from the roof next building as our window overlooked a small alley behind the hotel and the roof was quite nearby. however, all was fine and we were safe!

at the end of the street there was cafes, restaurants and a bar, and along the next street from there there were also bars and tapas from as low as 3euros each.. the hotel was close to Liceu metro, and in the heart of the shopping area, which made it easy for us to drop our shoping bags back in the room before heading out for a late dinner or drinks!

from the airport take the aerobus (EUR10.60 for 2 people) to plaza de catalunya. when you get off the bus, you will see across the road, a very large shopping street with many shops (desigual, h&m, zara etc) and alot of people! cross the road and head on into the street, walk all the way in while keeping right, till the end you will see on your diagonal-right, small lane that says 'carrer del pi', and the hotel is right on that lane :)

p.s. it's barcelona, do take good care of your belongings and shopping, and beware of pickpockets!

we would definitely recommend this hotel to others!
