“Nice hotel, bit clinical and soul-less”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

Good location for walking into the city - it was about a 20 minute walk to La Rambla. Hotel itself was ok but not fantastic - I certainly wouldn't rate it as a 4 star. Staff were fairly good, food good, but the room was very small for what we'd paid. All in all fine for a short city break, where all you want is a a decent breakfast, and a clean comfortable bed with good ensuite facilities, but it had absolutely no character. As a hotel, it merely does what it says on the tin!

“Nice Hotel, stylish entrance hall, rooms clean and good, noisy”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 January 2012

I enjoyed my stay there, but since I was on a trip coming from Paris, then staying in Barcelona for a meeting and then going to Berlin (where I stayed in the fantastic Pullman Schweizerhof with rooms more quiet then anywhere else), I have to admit that in relation to the other hotels it was very noisy. The room was directly to the Street, I could not open the window, otherwise it would have felt like I was sleeping on the street... The room itself was nice and clea, very nice bath, breakfast was good with an okay diversity (see pictures). Location was good, short distance walk got me to some nice restaurants.

“Fabulous Hotel, great even for a non-business traveller.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2012

I booked this hotel for a 1 week stay over Christmas and the hotel lived up to its description and my expectations. I had a lovely spacious room, with a bath and shower, free internet service in my room. Even though this is described as a business hotel, I loved it and at Christmas there were lots of tourists. It has a small clean swimming pool, Jacuzzi, Sauna, Steam room with massage facilities which I used on more than one occasion (extra charge of 15 Euro for spa facilities).

The staff were pleasant and helpful, the food good, with a choice of resteraunt, bar or room service. As it was Christmas time there was a table with a huge selection of traditional Christmas sweets daily until after 'Boxing day' so it was a nice touch. Breakfast was amazing there were 5 seperate areas, they catered for European, Japanese and English tastes.

The hotel is away from the Las Ramblas area but the metro is a 15 min walk and there are buses around the corner from the hotel to take you to town (Number 59 is fab). There is a huge shopping centre 10 mins walk from the hotel. I can descibe the area like the 'Mayfair, London' equivilant of Barcelona.

As this is classified as a business hotel my only gripe was paying 5 euro for a coke, but there are lots of grocery stores close by to stock up on drinks if you don't want to order them from the hotel.

“Ideal for the business traveller”

The ME Barcelona is a modern hotel designed by the French architect Dominique Perrault ( as far as I know)

The shopping centre and Torre Agbar are just a five minute walk away. Parque Gúell is fifteen minutes away by car.
All comfortable rooms are air conditioned and feature a bathroom with panoramic views over Barcelona and the Mediterranean Sea, as well as a hairdryer, shower or bathtub, bathrobe, Aveda toiletries and a magnifying mirror. Rooms also provide a safe, interactive telly and an office desk.
Complimentary wireless internet connection is available throughout the hotel.
I very much like this hotel and always looking forward to comng back when I am on business in Barcelona.

Room Tip: try to get a room high up as the view is real magnificent

“Suitable for Business travel trips”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 January 2012

I would personally classify this hotel as a typical business hotel. Stayed there for 5 nights on a trip to attend a conference. The hotel is very conviently located in barcelona, with ease of access to a couple of bus stations and the tram network. The metro underground station is however quiete a walk from the hotel. As for the rooms, they were very clean, average size and comfortable. Free wifi in the hotel rooms was a plus too. The food, especially the breakfast, was nice with a good selection of bakeries in the morning. Did not get the chance to try the pool or gym facilities. Conferencing facilities are good too.

Room Tip: Rooms on the back side of the hotel have stunning views of the city, especially the higher floors...
