Stayed there for a weekend last spring, and found it in a perfect location for visiting&shopping, and a short walk to plaza de Catalunya so also close to the bus for the airport. The building is old in a lovely way, with a huge stairway and a nice historical atmosphere. We had a big room with a balcony overlooking the street, which can be a bit noisy (but just a bit: the street is pedestrians only) but offers a nice view on a very lively crowd.

Breakfast was plenitful, the staff efficient and helpful, the price was all right, so this definitively a hotel to recommend

We stayed here for 3 nights pre cruise and had a wonderful time .the location is excellent ,walking distance to marina , shops and Placa catalunya, metro not far away either.
Only negative was our room was supposed to be a double and we had separate twin beds .
We chose not to make a fuss about this ,the beds were a little hard though.
Still would recommend this to all.

We took a trip to Barcelona the first week of December. The first hotel we stayed at was totally unacceptable and we lucked onto this one. We had a premium room with a terrace overlooking the pool and outside courtyard. While there were also some apartments across the way with laundry hanging to dry, it wasn't anything that bothered us. The room wasn't large (although it sounds like some of the premium rooms are) it was plenty big enough for the two of us. The bed was pretty comfortable and the bathroom was clean and modern. The only issue was that they turn off the air conditioning in the winter and we had to open the terrace door to let cool air in. This could be a bit of a security issue because the terrace is actually one big terrace running along the back side of the hotel with grass-like walls separating one from the next. You can't see through them but I don't imagine it would be hard to get through if you wanted to.

We stayed 5 nights in early November and the excellent location, just to the south of Placa Catalunya, ensured that we could walk easily to many of the city's attractions. It also meant that the hotel was within 5 minutes walk of the airport bus service stop in Placa Catalunya. The reception staff were especially helpful and those in the breakfast area very pleasant. We had a standard room which was satisfactory, given that we merely used the room to sleep, but the window that looked out on to a wall might make the room stuffy in warmer times. However, this is a city centre hotel, as opposed to somewhere in the countryside or at the beach where a view might be more desirable, and an upgraded room was offered although we turned it down. We were not troubled by any noise. As mentioned before, a great location and we would stay here again.
