I have stayed in this hotel many times now, and have returned home this morning from another perfect stay. I always stay here when in Barcelona, as I really do love the Barcelo brand and the location of this hotel is perfect - built on top of the main barcelona sants train station. With direct access to the airport, trains, metro, busses, taxis, tourist bus you name it!
I was in room 617 which is one of the newly refurbished orbital rooms - and it didnt disappoint. There was a huge king size bed (i am over 6ft tall and i could lie in this at many angles and there was still room!!) it came with 6 pillows, a big flat screen TV on the wall with a huge choice of channels, an ipod docking station and speakers, the comfiest leather chair in the window which provides some stunning views of the city, electric blind, a rainfall shower, slippers, mini bar, you name it it was there! The room was beyond immaculatly clean i could not fault one thing! I had another friend in the city who came to my hotel and he said next time he will definitely be staying here!
I have never eaten in the restaurant or used the bar etc... here so i cannot comment but if it is anything like the rest of this hotel i am sure it will be fab.

I stayed in Sants for 4 nights and the experience is awesome. First of all,the location is just above the train station. We arrived via train from Nimes and it was so easy to just check in without having to carry the luggage and move around to find the hotel ( if you know what i mean ). There is a lift to the hotel just right outside the train station. You cant missed it, there are signs within the train station to direct you.

The rooms are new and renovated. As everyone said , it is "orbital"... space theme. 2 basins outside the shower area, 42" flat screen , FREE WIFI. Metro station just below and direct trains to most of the key attractions in barcelona.

Front staff is friendly, we pay addition 10 euros to extend till 2pm . Train to airport is also just below!

THere is a supermarket just outside the station, check with the front staff if you are not sure.

Stayed here for 4 nights. The hotel was right above the train station - very convenient for getting to all parts of the city. Rooms were clean, spacious and modern - lots of storage space! There was this comfy designer armchair near the window - had a great time lounging on it and admiring the view outside. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was similar throughout my stay (not that big a variety but quality was fine) but my husband and I were satisfied with it.

Staff at the breakfast restaurant (especially those stationed at entrance)could be more friendly; the lady at the entrance was surly & unfriendly - not a good start to one's day. All in all, a good place to stay. The Tourist open-top bus station is right outside the hotel - convenient to buy ticket on the spot & hop on straight away.

Make sure you have your dinner elsewhere before taking train back to hotel if you are the type who needs a good meal - cos not much quality restaurant/cafe in the vicinity/train station.

the reception area and lounge bit tired as it is not renovated but the orbital room was so gorgeous...very very happy with the overall room, clean, comfy bed, great gadget tv and love the ameneties. happy!! be back and so convenient as it is next to central train station.
