Location and neighborhood was great, but hotel was run down, no wifi and no complimentary breakfast. Not bad considering the price

Visited this place for a week in late october, early november 2011. The place is nice - I enjoyed the neighboorhood eventhough its a bit out of the way of Downtown Barcelona. Poblenou it's called. Head for Rambla de Poblenou for nice restaurants, and Bilbao 34 for a greal local place. As said the hotel was ok - but my room was a little rundown. Slighty dirty, lightbulbs that doesn't work, thins hanging loose on the wall etc. Not a big problem - but it does cost a star. Not many people on the hotel. It's probably more busy in summer where location close to the beach is a plus. As usual in these hotels breakfast, dinner and wi-fi is way to expensive. Head for a local internet-shop 100 yards away and you will get internet-access for almost no money - and for breakfast head out for Bilbao 34 - or one of the many restaurants and bars in the area.

Our stay was excellent. Very friendly staff,nice clean room. Good breakfast and service.
Ideal for anyone wanting to stay on the outskirts of Barcelona as there is an excellent bus service. Very close to the beach. In the event of taking a taxi negotiate the price prior to the journey. Be VERY VERY aware in Barcelona pick pockets and other undesirables are about.
On a positive note it is a great place to visit.

Four-star near the beach. A few blocks to the nearest subwaystation and a couple of stops from place de la Catalunya. Possible to walk to las Ramblas in less than 30 min. Helpful staff and very clean standard.
