The location of Granvia is excellent. Literally outside of your doorstep is the subway, which allows you to quickly travel all over Barcelona. Within a couple minutes you can walk to the Ramblas and Playa de Catalunya (great people watching spot and drop off point for the airport bus). If high end shopping is your thing, you are only a minutes walk away from Chanel, Armani, etc. If you want to see one of Gaudi's masterpieces, Casa Mila is a 5 minute walk up the road.
The hotel was running a promotion during our stay, so they included breakfast in the room rate. It was excellent! Pastries, meats, cheeses, fried eggs, bacon, espresso machine, breads, fruit, yogurt, milk and cereal, 4-5 different kinds of juices, etc. Easily the best breakfast I've seen provided by a hotel in Europe.
The rooms were clean and the price was right. The walls are thin, so we could hear a yelling little kid next door, but that's par for the course in Europe. The building next door is performing construction, so from about 8am-7pm you can hear a fair amount of construction activity. We wer gone most of the time, so it wasn't a huge bother.
All that to say, we'd definitely stay here again if we find ourselves in Barcelona.
